What is Cards Personalisation?

Cards Personalisation is an online application that allows you to upload a personal image, or an image selected from our image library, onto the front of your credit card, for a fee of £10


Who can personalise their card?

You need to have a NatWest Credit Card. If you don’t already have a NatWest Credit Card you can apply for one, then come back and give it your own individual style


How long until I get my personalised card?

When you complete the online personalisation process we will send you a confirmation email which will be with you within 2 days. Following this, if your image meets our guidelines, you will receive your new personalised card within 7-10 days. Should you not receive the confirmation email please call the internet helpdesk on 0870 902 2785 (Minicom 0870 154 1192).


Can all cards be personalised?

No, currently we cannot offer personalisation on Private Banking Cards, Black Cards, Charge Cards, or on Airmiles or Cricket Cards


Can I have a contactless card and personalisation?

No, currently we can not offer personalisation and contactless technology on the same card.


Can I choose which card type I have?

Your card type will either be Visa or MasterCard and you will not have the opportunity to change this through the personalisation process. During personalisation you will be asked to confirm which card type you currently have. You should take care to enter the correct card type to prevent any delays in receiving your new personalised card.


How much does it cost?

The cost to personalise your card is £10. This cost will automatically be added to your card balance.


Do you charge if I want to go back to my standard plastic?

No, there is no charge for reverting to your standard plastic.


If my card is damaged, lost or stolen do I have to pay for a new personalised image?

No, a replacement personalised card is free of charge. You would receive the same image on your card.


Do I have to pay when my card is renewed?

Yes, you will be charged £10 at renewal.


Can I change my image?

Yes, you can change your image as many times as you wish. Each time you change your image a £10 fee will apply.


Can my secondary cardholder have a different image?

No, your secondary cardholder will have the same image or plastic as you.


Can my secondary cardholder keep their standard plastic?

No, your secondary cardholder will have the same image or plastic as you.


How can I personalise my card?

To personalise your card simply go to www.natwest.com/picturecard and follow the online application. This service is only available online.


Can any image be accepted?

No, there are Image Guidelines which you can view on the website. Once an image is submitted, we will check it against the guidelines. If the image meets the guidelines you will receive an email telling you that your card is on its way. If your selected image does not meet the guidelines we will email you and invite you to try a new image.


Who checks the images?

A third party team will be checking the images on behalf of NatWest. No customer information will be passed to the third party.


How many times can I change my image?

You can change the card image as many times as you like. You will be charged £10 every time you create a new personalised card.
